Study of habitat selection in temperate rain forest by Roosevelt elk (Cervus elphus roosevelti) in the Queets River Valley. Elk selected mature to old forest stands. Sites used by elk were within and adjacent to Olympic National Park, WA. Study conducted during 1986 and 1987.
