Root lengths from 22 species of plants were measured at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos, NM. Root lengths were compared to canopy height and width, and compared to values from literature searches. For each collected specimen there is a description of habitat, range, root morphology, measured and estimated maximum root length, and shoot height. Includes photos of typical root morphology.
