The saguaro: a population in relation to environment

Studies at Tucson area sites, including both sections of Saguaro National Park, show that saguaro cactus reproduction and survival are more affected by human intrusion than by environmental extremes. Grazing effects and an overpopulation of rodents were the most damaging. Bibliography, 5 figures, 2 tables.
