This report is one of a set of ten handbooks. Each handbook describes procedures for sampling, data management, and reporting information on a discrete resource category. This handbook includes breeding biology, plumage, and distribution for the California brown pelicans, double-crested cormorant, pelagic cormorant, western gull, xantus' murrelet, cassin's auklet, and the snowy plover. There are also fifteen figures illustrating monitoring sites and distribution of beforementioned birds.
