A study concerned with the seasonality of vegetation types on Perdido Key in the Gulf Islands National Seashore, Florida and Mississippi. Vegetation plots were established along cross-island transects. Species composition and percent cover was determined on a seasonal basis for each of the plots. The results were analyzed to produce an objective classification for each season. The results include discussions concerning vegetation types, dune classifications, indicator species, and seasonal changes.
