Seismic refraction study of upper crustal structure in the Lassen Peak area, Northern California

Berge PA and Stauber DA. 1987. Seismic refraction study of upper crustal structure in the Lassen Peak area, Northern California. Journal of Geophysical Research. 92(B10):10,571-10,579

This paper examines the thickness of the Cascade volcanic rocks in the Lassen Peak area, the composition of the basement beneath the volcanic rocks, and whether the Cretaceous sedimentary rocks exposed west of Lassen Peak underlie the volcanic rocks. Includes velocity models, data and ray diagrams, and generalized and detailed geological maps of the study area.
