Serum testosterone titer, tail length and straight carapace width/length ratio were evaluated as possible indicators of the sex of immature loggerhead sea turtles (Carretta carretta). Tail length and straight carapace width/length ratio were not accurate indicators of sex. The testosterone sexing technique was used to sex immature loggerhead turtles captures at four locations along the Atlantic coast (three in the Indian River Estuarine System and one in the Chesapeake Bay area). The predicted sex ratios obtained at the four sampling locations were not significantly different from each other. The pooled sex ratio of the captured turtles was significantly skewed toward the female.
