Sexual Dimorphism in the White Ibis

The author collected 36 white ibis (Eudocimus albus) from Everglades National Park, FL and Big Cypress National Preserve, FL to study the bird's sexual dimorphism. The author suggests reasons for this dimorphism relating to food use, feeding behavior, and nesting. Juvenile and adult males averaged significantly larger than females in all characteristics considered by the author. Includes tables of size, differences in other characteristics, and food.
