This report discusses the results of a small mammal survey and inventory at Chiricahua National Monument. "Live trapping was done at Chiricahua National Monument, Cochise County, Arizona, from 1984 to 1986 to determine the small mammal species present and vegetation associations...in which they occurred. Twenty six of the 34 small mammal species (orders Insectivora, Lagomorpha, and Rodentia) listed in the monuments' most recent mammal checklist...were found." The pinyon mouse (Peromyscus truei) was added to the species list since it is the only species that had not been captured before. Bibliography, tables, figures, and appendix.
