This study looks at the state of water's saturation relative to calcite. The investigation took place in the Mammoth Cave-Sinkhole Plain and the Cave Hollow aquifers. The study areas and methodology is described. The saturation relationships in surface streams; sinking stream-aquifer relationships; aquifer saturation relationships; vadose flows and vadose seepage is investigated. Implications of this study are listed. The appendices present the analytic techniques; computations; errors; and area data from both the Mammoth Cave-Sinkhole Plain and the Cave Hollow study areas.
