This was the fourth field trip to collect and study specimens from the Miocene shales of the Tertiary lake that contains large numbers of fossils, including Trichophanes, Aphredoderus sayanus, Phenacolestes parallelus, Calyptapis, Anthophora, Phenanthera, and Lomatia.
