Spatial analysis of vegetation types in Yosemite National Park
Van Wagtendonk JW. 1992. Spatial analysis of vegetation types in Yosemite National Park. Bulletin of the Ecological Society of America. 73(2):373
Spatial patterns of mapped vegetation types in relation to elevation and solar radiation were mapped in a GIS. The GIS combined various data laters. As elevation increases, ponderosa pine gives way to zones of white fir, red fir and lodgepole pine. Low radiation levels effect vegetation type occurrence.
