Report of 1990 field work on the northern spotted owl (Strix occidentalis caurina) in Olympic National Park, WA. Surveys were conducted during the day and evening. A total of twelve pairs and 12 single owls were contacted and 25 owls were banded. Vegetation plots were sampled at daytime owl response sites and at 60 calling stations where no owls were detected.
