A study of an uncommon natural seep (fen) area located in the western half of Prince William Forest Park. Includes general information on location and topographic setting, geology, soils, climate, general vegetation in the area, and study methods. Results include findings concerning hydrology, flora and vegetation, and fauna. Includes discussion of characterization of the area as a "seepage swamp" (which is continually watered by nearby springs and seepage from higher ground), as opposed to a "fen". Appendices include field survey data sheets and a list of common and scientific names of vascular plants recorded during the survey.
