Romberg Tiburon Center. 1997. State Route 1 -- Lone Tree Slide mitigation: Bolinas Lagoon mitigation project, mitigation monitoring, annual report: 1996. Oakland, CA

First annual report on monitoring the Bolinas Lagoon restoration project (which involved restoring 2.01 acres of marine habitat). Monitored tides (to see if there are restrictions on tidal flow within and adjacent to the mitigation site), sedimentation/erosion (took cross sections of the fill removal area to watch for changes), vegetation (gathered data on plants along transects to look for changes in species composition and rate of establishment of salt marsh species), benthic invertebrates/birds/fish (compared use in the fill removal area to adjacent sites), and marine mammals (recorded use of haulout areas by harbor seals and sea lions. Golden Gate National Recreation Area borders the lagoon.
