The Statement of the Deer and Vegetation Management Options presents an overview of some potential options for addressing the major deer and vegetation issues and makes recommendations regarding the most appropriate action(s) at this time. These recommendations are a result of detailed research and analysis by the park and the North Atlantic Regional Offices of Resource Protection and Scientific Studies. It builds on the Management Objectives and Issues documents and is a logical extension of the process the NPS initiated in July. The recommendations stated in this document are tentative pending public comment and completion of the final Deer and Vegetation Management Plan.
