From the Executive Summary: This report provides "a summary of current and historical monitoring data for pollutants, a synthesis of knowledge on ecological effects from atmospheric pollutants, and to the extent feasible, a park-specific assessment of pollution vulnerability." Olympic National Park, WA is included. This report summarizes emissions, ambient monitoring, and air quality-related ecological effects information for Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, with chapters dedicated to each of the National Park Service Class I areas in these states. The report contains interim recommendations regarding pollutant levels that should not be exceeded in order to protect sensitive ecological resources in the region. It also provides recommendations for future research and monitoring efforts that would better clarify current conditions and resource effects thresholds.
