Manuwal DA. 1975. The Status of the Bluethroat (Luscinia svecica) in North America. Murrelet. 56(2):5-8
This article summarizes available literature on the biology and distribution of the Bluethroat in North America. It also presents new information collected during a biological survey of the Noatak River basin in 1973. The species was observed at several locations in the Noatak basin; all sightings occurred in areas of extensive tussock tundra where willows tended to border lakes, rivers, and streams. Breeding was documented at Feniak Lake, Kikitaliorak Lake, and Kipmik Lake. This paper was also issued as Contributions from the Center for Northern Studies 8
