Examines the current status of coral reef fishes and their habitat throughout the Samoan Archipelago, based on quantitative surveys of reefs on eight islands. Includes species lists, reef density charts, and maps. Objectives of this study include: 1) determine current status of coral reef fishes & their habitat throughout the Samoan archipelago. This will be based on a series of detailed quantitative surveys of reefs on 8 islands in the archipelago. This information will provide quantitative basis for long term monitoring. 2) Present results in a useful format for managers.
