This report covers the second year of research of bald eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) wintering in Bandelier National Monument, NM, near the Rio Grande in the vicinity of Cochiti Reservoir. Surveys of roosting sites and castings (for diet) were done in Alamo, Capulin, and Medio Canyons. The main subjects researched were population trends, stability of use patterns, seasonal diet changes, impact of spring flooding by the Cochiti Reservoir, and human disturbance. This report includes two pages of specific recommendations for management.
