A study concerned with the loggerhead (Caretta caretta) and green (Chelonia mydas) sea turtles nesting activities in the Florida District of the Gulf Islands National Seashore from 1994 to 1996. Turtle monitoring procedures involved searching the beach systematically for evidence of turtle activity. The location of turtle nests were noted and they were monitored until the time of hatching. The nesting results and problem areas (predation, disorientation, tropical weather, and data collection) are discussed and presented in tabular and graphical form. There are maps showing the locations of turtle nests.
