The report is the third annual fire summary for Everglades National Park and Big Cypress National Preserve. Everglades National Park has summarized events of the fire year, lightning strikes, prescribed fires, stagnation index, Muhlenbergia research fires, and hole-in-the-donut fires. Big Cypress has summarized fire cause data, fire location, fire season totals(wet, hunting, dry), fuel type burned, research fires(study sites, season of fires, conditions for fires). Tables included are rainfall and water levels, Everglades 33 year fire average, Big Cypress fires and acreage burned each month, Big Cypress suppression costs, vegetation types burned per month, Big Cypress vegetation type total acreage, Big Cypress fire totals per fire season. Appendices include the complete list of fires in Everglades and Big Cypress. There are many figures that indicate fire locations and prescribe fire burn units.
