The goals of this study include testing methods, acquiring a database on coral reef benthic and fish communities, and isolating natural from anthropogenic (human related) changes. This study focused on five sites: Bird Key Reef, Loggerhead Key, Pulaski Shoal, Texas Rock, and White Shoal. Sampling methods included transect sampling, video sampling, quadrat sampling, photographic sampling, recruitment sampling, and environmental sampling.
