This compilation provides information about steelhead trout in the Redwood Creek basin, Redwood National Park. In addition to a 3-page list of references, it includes two pages on influences of the Prairie Creek Hatchery (sources of eggs, production) and the Highway 101 Bypass mitigation hatchbox program. A long list of tributaries to Redwood Creek identifies locations in Humboldt County of known steelhead trout distribution. The discussion of habitat mentions the detrimental effects of high water temperatures during summer and reasons for degraded steelhead habitat. Attached tables give hatchery trapping records for steelhead and for coho salmon (1972-1983).
