Thirty-eight inland lakes on Isle Royale were examined in 1929 to determine the kinds of fish present in these lakes, their abundance, and their food. The author also collected data on lake depth and water temperature. Thirty species of fish were found in the inland lakes with the largest and deepest lakes having the most species.
