Assesses the status of the black-capped vireo (Vireo atricapillus) in the Chisos Mountains, Big Bend National Park, Texas between May 20 and May 28, 1995. Twenty-four males and 12 females were located at the observation sites. Brown-headed and bronzed cowbirds were in highest density around Panther Junction and at Campground Canyon in the Chisos Basin
