An intensive field survey of vertebrate animal species was conducted on the Fort Bowie National Historic Site during the period September 1975 - October 1976. The research provides (1) an annotated inventory of the mammal, bird, amphibian, and reptile species at the Historic Site, (2) their habitat preferences, (3) estimates of relative abundance, (4) notations on seasonal fluctuations, and (5) some comments and recommendations regarding management. Includes distribution maps, references, species accounts.
