Monitoring protocols for island fox, deer mouse, pacific slender salamanders and lizards were implemented for the first time in 1993 on Anacapa, San Miguel and Santa Barbara Islands. The report suggests some changes in the timing and location of sampling for these protocols. Comparative data from other monitoring efforts in included where appropriate.
