The Jemez Mountains, NM, were analyzed to create a model of physical requirements for Mexican spotted owl (Strix occidentalis lucida) habitats in northern New Mexico. Variables included elevation, latitude, aspect, and topography. The resulting model is then compared to known occupancy sites for accuracy.
