Meadow invasion in Lassen Volcanic National Park was investigated by determining the age of invasive trees and associating age structural patterns with regional variations in fire history, grazing, and climate change. Five meadows in the park were studied: King's Creek, Middle King's Creek, Lower King's Creek, Summit Lake, and Badger Flat. Belt transects were established in each site to represent the forest/meadow boundary and study changes in vegetation within these areas. Included are study methods, results, discussion and tables (environmental characteristics meadows, regression equations, frequent meadow plants, mean tree density, etc.).
