The studies of trematode parasites of the Loggerhead Turtle in the Mediterranean and the Gulf of Mexico, Dry Tortugas are briefly discussed and compared. Nineteen species occurred in the turtles of the Gulf of Mexico. Eight of these species also occur in the Mediterranean Sea. The most numerous trematode occurring in the Dry Tortugas is Cymatocarpus undulatus. A more detailed discussion is found in the Archives de Parasitolgie article by Pratt.
