Informal letter report of a visit to Lake Mead National Recreation Area to provide technical consultation for watershed concerns on the shivwits Plateau; and visit to Glen Canyon National Recreation Area for a funded riparian grazing project. On the Shivwits suggestions were made regarding grazing management issues as it relates to the watershed. Recommendations were made to utilize planning analysis tools as appropriate and incorporate a monitoring scheme to document effects of the vegetation monitoring. At Glen Canyon National Receation Area most of the grazing is in a riparian zone. Two study sites were visited demonstrating the diversity of the problems; Last Chance Creek and Lake Canyon Creek.
