Results are presented of a 7-year study conducted by the Fish and Wildlife Service on the brook trout populations in Shenandoah National Park. All streams in the park were surveyed from 1952 to 1959, with 6 being surveyed more intensively. Streams were closed to fishing from 1954 to 1956 to aid in recovery from severe drought conditions.
