Parmelia sinuosa, a common lichen of the Pacific Northwest, is reported from several high mountains in North Carolina and Tennessee. Parmelia incurva-reported from Grandfather Mountain, Avery County, North Carolina-was not previously known in North America south of the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
