Purtymun WD, Peters RJ, Buhl TE, Maes MN, Brown FH. 1987. Background Concentrations of Radionuclides in Soils and River Sediments in Northern New Mexico, 1974-1986. LA-11134-MS. Los Alamos National Laboratory. Los Alamos, NM
Samples of soil and river sediments from northern New Mexico were tested for radionuclides and radioactivity levels. Samples were taken from the Rio Chama and the Rio Grande confluences of Otowi, Sandia, Pajarito, Ancho, and Frijoles Canyons. The results were compared to determine sources of wastes.
