Report prepared by the Surveillance and Standards Section as a part of a statewide program to monitor water quality of high priority stream reaches. The impact of mining operations at Terrero, which ceased in the 1930's, and exploratory drilling by Conoco Oil Mining Branch, abandoned in the 1970's, are discussed. As the source of domestic water supply, fish related endeavors, irrigation, animal watering, water standards for the Upper Pecos River are important. The study area and sites, methodology, and results are included.
