The authors' Introduction notes that although the steep terrain of the Redwood Creek basin is naturally very erodible, human activity (particularly logging) has accelerated the rate of erosion to the detriment of downstream resources of Redwood National Park. This paper reports study results regarding human impacts on processes of erosion and deposition in this watershed. Eight sub-basins in the lower one-third provide data on discharges of water and of suspended sediment. Data are from logged and unlogged basins, allowing comparisons. Tables contain descriptive data, and figures for suspended-sediment yield. A drawing shows sediment transport relationships.
