As a background for further analysis of intra- and interspecific relationships of Rana p. pretiosa a study of variation in skeletal dimensions associated with differences in age, sex, and geographic locality was carried out in Yellowstone Park, Wyoming. Skeletons prepared from 138 frogs collected from four populations in the vicinity of Fishing Bridge during the summers of 1953, 1954, and 1955, were available for study. The skeletons were prepared from dried carcasses from which the skin, eyes, tongue, and viscera had been removed prior to drying.
