The Vegetation History of the Pamet Cranberry Bog, North Truro, Massachusetts

Patterson WA and O'Keefe JF. 1980. The Vegetation History of the Pamet Cranberry Bog, North Truro, Massachusetts. Department of Forestry and Wildlife Management, University of Massachusetts. Amherst, MA

The sediments of the Pamet Cranberry Bog in North Truro, Massachusetts, were examined to determine how the bog has developed since its earliest formation and how Europeans altered natural processes in the bog as they converted it to the production of a commercial cranberry crop. These results will help park staff interpret environmental change for bog visitors and provide data upon which future developments can be based.
