Gibson DJ and Looney PB. 1991. Vegetation Monitoring After Beach Renourishment on Perdido Key: 1991 Annual Report. Institute for Coastal and Estuarine Research University of West Florida. Pensacola, FL
This report documents the second year of monitoring the recovery of vegetation after a beach nourishment project on Perdido Key was completed in April, 1990. Seven vegetation types and 4 subtypes were recognized and described based on habitat location. The wooded dunes and marsh vegetation were found to be stable between seasons, but the strand and dune subtypes were continually changing. Included in the appendix of this report is a separate report addressing specific changes of vegetation caused by changes of the seasons.
