This is the final report of a study undertaken to describe the current vegetation of the Jockey Hollow section of Morristown National Historical Park, to analyze the successional trends evident in the vegetation, and to describe the pre-settlement vegetation and land-use history in the area. There is a section on management for the Park vegetation. The extensive "technical report" section includes chapters on the physical environment, woody plants, maps of the vegetation, stand structure, tree growth, historical aspects of the vegetation, and successional trends in the forests. Supplemental to this report are four maps (at a scale of 1: 6,000); three of these maps show the distributions of the plant communities in the Park, and the fourth depicts the historical aspects of the the natural and cultivated vegetation (These particular maps were not included with the available copy of the report, and were not seen). The appendices include a species list of woody plants and descriptions of the above mentioned maps.
