This is an analysis of pollen samples taken at fifteen sequential depths from a filled in kiva at Burnt Mesa Pueblo, Bandelier National Monument, NM. The researchers were looking for vegetation changes over time and economic plants used by the former inhabitants of the site. The sampling efforts went through slope sediments, fallen walls and roof, pack rat middens, refuse, and the floor of the structure. Plants are identified to the family level, and some to genus and species.
