Bandelier Excavations in the Flood Pool of Cochiti Lake, New Mexico

This is a report on the archeological findings of excavations along the lower canyons at Bandelier National Monument, NM. The areas excavated were within the flood zone of the Cochiti Reservoir. There are brief sections on the current fauna, geology, and climate of the area. The animals are listed by species with a short description of their distribution. Faunal, vegetative, and pollen remains found in the excavations were analyzed and listed to species level when possible. Included is a annotated checklist of plants found at Bandelier, and a list of those thought to be introduced to the area.
