Observations of gypsum soil areas from 1925 to 1934 are reported on, with data from climatic, vegetative and grazing records. One of the areas reported on is White Sands National Monument. Gypsum soils are comparatively unproductive, presumably owing to chemical and physical properties of gypsum and to the effects of wind erosion.
