This report was written for the Virginia Air Pollution Control Board to present the results of two studies done on the effects of ozone to foliage in Shenandoah National Park. The first study was conducted in 1982. Six tree and plant species were examined in the three park districts, on both sides of Skyline Drive, and along elevational gradients. In 1984 foliar injury to common milkweed was documented over time. Included in the study are eastern white pine, black locust, tulip poplar, wild grape, virgin's bower, and common milkweed
