The paper focuses on the development of plug domes in Lassen Volcanic National Park. Recent (200 years old) domes from the Chaos Crags as well as older (preglacial) domes of the White Mountain are discussed, in addition to the Lassen Peak and Divide Peak domes. Other smaller domes located south of Lassen Peak and north of Chaos Crags are also researched. All of the domes consist primarily of glassy, acid andesites and dacites, rich in hornblendic secretions.
