Communities composed of several species of bryophytes grow where the conditions (the nature of the bark of the tree, the amount of moisture and light, etc.) are favorable. The present study investigated communities on different species of trees, finding remarkable differences related to those species. Chestnut, tulip, white ash, oak, and hemlock were among the trees sampled.The results are tabulated by bryophyte species.
