In the past .6 my, andesite and dacite along with lesser amounts of minor basalt and rhyolite were produced south of Lassen Peak. Other properties such as element abundances, mineral analyses, eruptive temperatures, and other physical characteristics were determined. All of these characteristics were also determined for Mount Tehama, and the eruptive sequence for Mount Tehama was discussed within the article.
