Henshaw RE and Folk EG. 1963. Water balance in hibernating bats. Bulletin of the Ecological Society of America. 44(3):93-94

This abstract describes a presentation on water balance in hibernating bats. Data was obtained during thesis research in Physiology (from the State University of Iowa) on the thermoregulation, energy metabolism, heart rate, water balance, and microclimate selection of Myotis lucifugus and Myotis sodalis during hibernation. Studies were conducted in caves of central and northern Kentucky.
