This document is an external review draft. The Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve is located on the NE coast of Florida entirely within the city limits of Jacksonville. The preserve was designated to protect and interpret the ecological and historic resources of the area. The report describes the complex shared-ownership and land-use within the Preserve. It also covers a thorough description of the water resources, i.e., physiography, estuarine ecosystem, human influences and impacts, the hydrology, and physiochemical characteristics. The report includes numerous fold-out color plates within the text.
